Excellent book! Has traditional recipes and some fascinating ideas that I've never seen before in cooking. Beautifully done!
I don't think I've ever left such a poor review for a cookbook before (which is why I'm giving it two stars vs one star).While it has nice pictures, the recipes are meant to be Ashkenazi....yet most of the recipes feel Russian, the Pesach recipe has peas in it (making it Sephardi), the bread section (where you thought this Parisian cookbook would shine) only had 3 recipes in it.My wife read half of it and just put it down. I poured through every recipe and couldn't find one thing I would want to make in here.Lastly, most recipes call for Fromage Blanc. I don't know what that is or whether I can even get that at the kosher store in the Chicago.In full disclosure, I haven't tested any of the recipes, but there is nothing I would want to make in here...
