I bought this book for my 11 year old granddaughter. It is really a fine book for young girls. It should be in every girls' library from the age of 14 and up. My 11 year old is still a little young, but I am saving it for her. It speaks to young women in such a down to earth way, it's not preachy, just honest and open from one girl to another. I was so impressed. I'm planning to give it to my friends with teenage girls. It is definitely a DON'T MISS.
I bought this book when I was having a lot of insecurities about my body. After reading it, I can't go back to my way of thinking, at all. I loved this book so much that I even went back for another read. I like how Jenna Bishop put questions in there, and space to answer it. Those questions really make you think about how you perceive yourself. This book is definitely an eye opener. I think it accurately give God's perspective on how He sees us. I loved, loved this book!

I think this is a wonderful book for teenagers. I have self-esteem issues, and it did help me a bit to consider the author's suggestions, but they were things I had already tried myself. I am 36, I believe this book was written for someone between the ages of 18-25.It is very scriptural and casual at the same time.
I have given this to two teens and they have enjoyed it.
This is a terrific book for girls and young ladies alike. I'm 32 and recently divorced, so it brought insight to me as well. Jenna shares many personal stories which enables the book to be real and practical. I thoroughly enjoyed relearning how God defines beauty, which is counter to the culture we live in. I need to focus and value His definition of beauty and not the world's. Thanks Jenna for a great book for young ladies, so they can see the joy in trusting God and how He sees them as beautiful and worthy.
I have found this book very useful for a small group I'm leading at my church for 8th grade girls. They experience so much pressure for external beauty. Now we can talk about true beauty--that which comes from within.
